Background

Insights Media Solutions was founded in 2012 by Annette Reid Blaylock, a professional media strategist with over 20 years of marketing expertise. Based in Escondido, CA, the online marketing agency is Facebook and Google Ad Certified, primarily serving local businesses with under 50 employees. Their motto for their customers? Be the big fish, no matter what the pond. But it can go both ways.

As the demands of the pond increased and Insights Media Solutions began scaling their agency past what could be accomplished by a single, seasoned solopreneur, Blaylock began searching for a way to reliably provide excellent fulfillment. Additionally, she also required the tools to onboard, train, and support a growing sales team that could focus on packaging the kind of custom, comprehensive, 360 solutions offered by a full-service marketing agency.

Objectives

Insights Media Solutions needed a digital platform partner that could:

  • Offer white-label marketing fulfillment as they scaled their online agency
  • Provide ongoing onboarding, training, support, and resources for their sales team as they learned how to optimize the use of such a robust platform
  • Allow for the flexibility to create custom packages of products and solutions to sell, catering to specific niche

The approach

Seeking a partner for fulfillment…

After partnering with Vendasta primarily for consistent, reliable white-label fulfillment, Blaylock quickly leveraged other resources. She appreciated having the support and guidance of a Vendasta-appointed growth expert and the free courses offered through Vendasta Academy.

“That’s a big part of our ability to scale,” Blaylock said, initially referring to offloading fulfillment. “I needed a partnership that I could trust.”

…and beyond!

Little did Blaylock know how deep that partnership would run.

“The onboarding has been fantastic,” she continued. “A partner that you can reach out to on a weekly basis, if needed, to guide you… it’s been very helpful.”

Beyond the onboarding process, Blaylock also credits Vendasta with “training [her] employees and making sure [they] have the resources” to be driving revenue.

“Our sales process is pretty systematic. We meet with someone, we pull a Snapshot Report and then after that we review with them… and see what their pain points are and then we pitch.” This winning, tailored approach has led to a fantastic average basket size of 7.13 products.

Insights Media Solutions’ customers have also been able to see concrete proof of their own win—sometimes almost immediately—thanks to the white-labeled Business App dashboard and the Snapshot Report. Blaylock references one customer they had been nurturing for four months with an F rating on a particular aspect of their Snapshot Report.

“Literally within a few weeks [of closing], we were able to get him to an A,” says Blaylock. With 100% retention, it’s clear customers remain satisfied with their top grades.

“I was fulfilling my own stock and that was a lot of work, so when I came on board [with Vendasta] and saw that I had a team behind me that could support me, it was a no brainer… the onboarding has been fantastic.”
